As the World Press Freedom Day draws closer, the Cameroon Association of English Speaking Journalist does not forget its assignment towards its members
As part of their activities for this year’s world Press Freedom Day, the Association of Cameroon English Speaking Journalist Douala chapter CAMASEJ-D, organized a workshop for its members at the Global Language Center situated in Bonamoussadi last Saturday 20 April 2025 on the theme; Media and Election Reporting: Understanding the keys of the electoral process. A very saliant topic owing to the fact that the 2025 presidential elections in Cameroon is just a couple of months away.
Like usual the executive of the association did not spare their effort to source for high caliber experts for the workshop in the likes of Dr Barrister Ntumfor Nico Halle, Philipp Nanga of the NGO “Un Monde Avenir” and Paul Joel Kemtchang, fact-checking and data journalism specialist who drilled pressmen and women on the topic that were necessary to know as far as election is concerned.
At the end of the workshop, the journalists that were opportune to attend could boast to have level their knowledge in

As the journalists D-day draws nearer the English-Speaking journalist association Douala branch has much in store for its members. The have again been invited to go for free medical screening in the Bepanda branch of the Acha hospital. The exercise that involves eye check-up, dental consultation, ear, nose, and throat (ENT) examination, blood sugar and blood pressure and other general health services will be taking place on Friday 25th of April 2025. Journalist are expected not to forget at home their membership card or their professional badge.
