GOVERNOR DECLARES END OF SEARCH AT DSCHANG LAND SLIGHT CLIFF

Two weeks after the double land slight at the Dschang cliff that claimed many lives, authorities have decided that search effort should end after 12 bodies have been extracted from the soil.

The governor of the West Region Awa Fonka Augustin yesterday 18th November declared the end of search efforts on the Dschang cliff 13 days after the land slight with tens of bodies suspected underneath the ground. According to official sources, 12 bodies have been extracted from the ground already, but witnesses say there were many more victims. The extractionhas not been a simple task owing to the fact that the work was being done either with bare hands or by use of rudimentary materials. Only one excavating machine was seen in the site. This explains why all the corps of the people who are declared missing could not be found.

Families of the victims involved are overwhelmed with pains for it is difficult to morn their love ones without the corps. As the consequence to the Dschang double lands light, traffic has been completely interrupted till further notice because the cliff carries the highway road that links the Littoral Region and the West region. The land slight accident happened on the 5th of November claiming many lives and burying vehicles and three caterpillar machines that were working on the area at the timeincluding many other passenger vehicles.
