Algerian born Yacine Hamza who was winner of the last edition of the Chantal Biya international Cycling tour has confirm his statute of favorite of the competition by winning the 100km long first stage of the ongoing edition this 1st October 2024 . the first slap was linking Nkoteng to Minta through Nanga Eboko in the Upper Sanaga .
Meanwhile Artuce Tella and Steve Ngueguim were the first Cameroonians to have crossed the finished line arriving at the 4thand 5th positions. This Tuesday October 2nd , the 150km long second lap of the race that will be going from Yaoundé to Ebolowa promises to be very competitive as the locals will be fighting to save their faces, the high level international cyclist will be trying to maintain supremacy.
The Chantal Biya International Cycling tour named after the first lady that was created in 2001 is one of the most prestigious competitions in the country that federates both local and international talents in the domain of cycling. It is a moment of conviviality between the sorters and the population of the area where the tour passes.
