Narcisse Mouelle Kombi Minister of Sports and Physical Education will this day 4th of October receive the three entities involve in the preparation of the international match pitting Cameroon against Kenya on the 11th of October 2024.
The minister of sports and physical education Pr Narcisse Mouelle Kombi has invited the Cameroon Football Federation FECAFOOT, the organ in charge of sports infrastructures in Cameroon, ONIES and the head coach of the national selection the Indomitable Lions Marc Brys for an important meeting that will take place in his ministry this Friday October 4th. The meeting concerns the preparation of the qualifier match of the Lions against the Hrambee Stars of Kenya that will be played in Cameroon on Friday 11th of this month at 17 hours local time.
Meanwhile head coach Marc Brys who was in Belgium is reported in Cameroon since yesterday 3rd October and will certainly be present in the meeting that is schedule for 11 am. It is the first meeting that will put together the three football stake holders in the country since the resent reconciliation publication between the minister of sports and the president of the FA. Observers think that the sky is henceforth blue for the atmosphere around the national football team.
The match against the two countries counts for the 3rd playing day in the group stages of the African Cup of Nations, AFCON 2025 that will take place in Morocco. The return leg will be played in Kenya on Monday 14th of October. The Kenyan team is standing first in the actual classification table while Cameroon is second after 2 playing days. Meaning that the match is a very important one for both selections.
