Matt Woods appointed for new diplomatic assignment in Cameroon. He is the new British High Commission succeeding Larry Lowen.
New British High Commission to Cameroon Matt Woods has officially taken his functions this day in Yaoundé Cameroon. The diplomat presented his letter of accreditations to the Cameroon minister of external relations in charge of Common Wealth Felix Mbayu. “I presented my letter of accreditation to the minister of external relations earlier in the day and am happy to officially start my role as High Commission in Cameroon. I can’t wait to deepen our partnership and to work together in our common priorities” the diplomat said.
Matt Woods who is also His Majesty’s ambassador to the Equatorial Guinea succeed Larry Lowen whose mission to Cameroon ended September. The new high commissioner will work to solidify diplomatic ties between British and Cameroon. Before Cameroon, Mr Woods was British head of Political team in Madrid Spain from 2019 to 2024.
