Representing the Head of State, Minister Paul Atanga Nji in the 40th session of Permanent Committee of the Organization of Islamic Corporation for Economy and Commerce in Istanbul Turkey discussed with member countries the digital transformation of Cameroon.
The Minister of Territorial Administration Paul Atanga Nji has represented the Head of State at the 40th session of the permanent committee of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation for Economy and commerce that was held in Istanbul Turkey 4th November under the theme digitaltransformation of the system of payment in member countries. The session that was presided over by the Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan had a second fold held by the ministers to brainstorm on the subject matter.
Taking the microphone in the meeting, Minister Paul AtanganNji reviled that the digital transformation of the system of payment was an important subject on the political agenda of Head of State Paul Biya, president of Cameroon. That justifies why everything is put in place to optimize the development of the digital economy in our country by applying a strategic plan to that effect. It is important to note that the development of a digital infrastructure in Cameroon, the promotion of the digital industry and the training of young Cameroonian in the domain of digital is a clear proof that this subject is very important in agenda. The minister underlined that the digital transformation program is accelerated in Cameroon. After the meeting, member countries were able to do a prospective evaluation of the subjects that were discussed.
The permanent committee of the organization of Islamic corporation for economy and commerce that was created in 1981 aims at fostering development among members states as a result of economic and commercial corporation. This organization in which Cameroon stands at the helm since its 50thsession was held in Yaoundé last August, permits member countries not only to organize their Islamic corporation but also to examine other subjects of common interest.
