The CMASEJD team fought hard over the weekend to keepsits unbeaten line uninterrupted in this year’s ongoing tournament with its 2 nil victory over Alpha Higher Institute.
It was another bright and sunny Saturday afternoon at the CAMTEL Bepanda field in the Douala 5 Sub division where supporters of the Black Mambas of the Cameroon Association of English Speaking Journalists Douala chapter (CAMASEJ-D)left in bliss with the 2-0 victory of the darling team over the defending champions Alpha Higher Institute. Playing the first of the three matches scheduled for the day, the boys of Coach Cliford Ntuba like in their first match of the tournament created many scoring opportunities for themselves but failed to hit the net.
Coming back from the dressing room like hungry lions, with the galvanizing words of their coach running through their veins in the place of blood, the Black Mambas of CAMASEJ-D transformed defending champions Alpha Higher Institute into ashadow of themselves, sending their goalkeeper to pick up the ball behind his net twice in less than 15 minutes.
It will not be a mistake to say that the Douala based journalistssquad looks a more optimistic team this year than it was last year. In their play style, accurate ball placements and their positioning in the field, one could tell it is a team that has much to write home about.
