The world is speechless before an act of cheap cowardice that takes away the life of an innocent 6 year old child, because of a misunderstanding got with his father. May the law court not have pity for such an individual.
Cameroon’s music artist Lydol has made an outing on her social media handle dissociating herself from her father’s horrendous act committed on Saturday 10th of May at 2pm, stabbing his neighbor’s 6 years old son to death. Mr Wafo, aka Bleck who happened to be the musician’s father, entered into his neighbor’s house after a quarrel stabbing the neighbor’s 6 years old son by name Mathis, injuring him seriously on the arm and on the neck. The little boy rushed out to look for his mother but could not go any far off as he fell on the ground and bled to death despite the neighbors’ intervention to save rush him to the hospital.
The story goes that Mr Wafo and his close neighbor Paulin, who is the young boy’s father were drinking in a nearby bar that Saturday 10th May in their Ngoa Ekele neighborhood where a serious argument broke out. Paulin hit a glass on Wafo’s head leading to a fight that was quickly separated by witnesses. After that, Paulin left the place while Mr Wafo went directly to his house, got his knife and entered his neighbor Paulin’s house, met the 6 years old Mathis sitting on the sofa eating a piece of bread and watching the television, he pounced on the boy stabbed him multiple times leaving him profusely bleeding, tried to get hold of the other child who was 9 years old but could not because the child had locked himself in the room.
When the neighbors got hold of the issue, they beat Mr Wafo to half dead, before the arrival of the forces of law and order. Latest report said that he was lying unconscious at the hospital where he is receiving treatement. Investigations are waiting that he recovers before he will be brought before the judge to face the consequences of his actions according to the law. Meanwhile, Lydol who was being attached to the incident was forced to come out in the social media to dissociate herself from her father’s act and show her concern to the aggrieved family, “I am separate from my father’s actions. I have no connection to this tragedy other than blood and I cannot condone such a heinous act, “she said. All the same we hope that the murderer will get the appropriate sentence for committing such an act.
