The Minister of Territorial Administration, Paul Atanga Nji, began a working visit in the Western region of Cameroon on Tuesday, April 8, focusing on security and development in view of the upcoming elections.
On Tuesday, April 8, 2025, the Minister of Territorial Administration, Paul Atanga Nji, was welcomed by the Governor of the Western Region, Awa Fonka Augustine, during his working visit in the region. The agenda included a crucial security meeting, which brought together various local stakeholders to assess the political, economic, social, and security climate of the region
Under the instruction of Head of State Paul Biya, Minister Atanga Nji emphasized the importance to enhanced synergy in anticipation to the regional and presidential elections scheduled for this year. “We must work together to ensure a stable and conducive environment for development,” he said. This meeting is intended to be a forum for discussion to identify the challenges facing the region and develop appropriate strategies.
The Minister also mentioned the need for work in close collaboration with the various stakeholders to ensure adequate preparation for the elections, in a context where security remains a major concern.
