Music being the language of the soul and the message that does not have any boundary, the internationally renownedCameroonian artist Jaja Tresch mas made herself amessenger for the happiness of her fans.
Cameroon music has trail a long history following from the era of Nelle Eyoum who is known to be the father of Makossawhich seems to have been the only known Cameroon brand of music then, followed by the Bikutsi originated from the center region. Then came the big names in the likes of Francis Bebe , Manu Dibango just to name a few of them who took very high up the flag of their country’s music at the time.
Though Cameroon music had goon through a turbulent time, like a phoenix it has always find a means to renounce back on stage. Today the country does not only depend on the few brand of music on which it depended then but because it bubbles of multiple musical talents, the genres of music are just as many as the regions of Cameroon and all they are just as good as one another.
We might not name all of them here, but if ever we dabble into that game, we will only get like Makossa, Bikutssi, Bensikin, Chamasy, Manjong and many many others. While we could talk of the late Manu Dibango and the Ben Deccas, for those who are still alive, we cannot go though Bikutssi without talking of guys like Age Ebogo Emerang for the older generation or talking of Coco Argentee for the younger generation.
Since music is a game of inspiration and talent, a cropped of very gifted and inspired Cameroonian young artists have shown up in recent times among which the talented Jaja Tresch who in much endeavor holds the flag of Cameroon music abroad. In solo production like in duet, Jaja Tresch has portrait her deeply imbedded talent in her song. Like it could be seen in her first solo album titled “Tshop My Mony” which was released in 2018.
Internationally renowned artist of Cameroonian origin JajaTresch said she was influenced in her musical career by other Cameroonian artists like Ben Decca, Annie Anzouer and Papa Zoe. “I keep learning from them every day” she said. Précising that the inspiration and professional wisdom that they have brought to her career, she would wish to transfer to her future generation.
Aged 47, Janate Henrietta Tresch by her real name said she was bitten by the virus of music way back her childhood age and she did not find it easy to quit the passion despite the fact that she is already doing very well in the entrepreneurial world. “I was born in the family of musician” she said. In that early childhood she was full into her church coral. It is then no surprises to see that she has embarked on a professional career. Her Afrobeatrhythm makes a blend of her native Metah music from the North West Region of Cameroon, the popular Makossa rhythm, Bikutssi, Mangambeu and a little bit of the Ivorian Coupe Decalé.
As active as she is in the web, Jaja Tresch is doing a great job to promote her Single hit titled “NONJI CHOM” which she did in duet with Bikoutssi star Coco Argentee. The internationally renowned singer and song writer Jaja Tresch is making plans to hit her native Cameroon anytime soon for a mega promotion of her latest tune.
Jaja Tresch, based in Zurich, Switzerland for more than 26 years now but she has not been off rooted from her native North West Region of Cameroon. The ni much appreciation from her millions of fans all over despite her young 5 year old career has kept the flame of music burning high in her day after day. Energetic and explosive on stage, Jaja Tresch is an inspiration to the young generation of upcoming musicians.
