FECAFOOT 1ST VICE REMINDS LIONS COACHING TEAM OF THEIR MISSION

Indomitable lions reshuffled coaching staff gets a defined mission towards upcoming international competitions in a more serein environment.


“Your mission is to qualify our team to the upcoming world cup and the next AFCON 2025 in Morocco” these were the words of Celine Eko the first vice president of the Cameroon Football Federation, FECAFOOT to the entire reshuffled coaching team of the national selection Monday 7th October 2024 at the federation’s headquarter in Tsinga Yaoundé. It should be noted that to create a peaceful atmosphere around the national selection, the Minister of Sports and Physical Education Pr Narcise Mouelle Kombi and the president of the FA Samuel Eto Fils had decided to merge the coaching teams that were initially divided.


This meeting with the first vice president goes in straight line with the preparation of the Indomitable lions for the upcoming match against the Harambee Stars of Kenya that will be played in the Yaoundé Omnisport Stadium on Friday 11th of October for the first leg qualifier towards the African Cup of Nations AFCON to take place in Morocco in 2025. Not forgetting the second leg that will be played in Nairobi Kenya on Monday 14th of October 2024.


In the meeting that was held in the absence of the FA president, the first Vice urged the coaching team to rally around head coach Marc Bryce so that the national team will come out victorious in the journey to the Morocco continental rendezvous. “It is on us now. We don’t have any excuse. Finally I think I am responsible. We will start working to bring results for the 30 millions of Cameroonians. We are ready even though we have a little bit of pressure” Marc Brys said after the meeting.


Meanwhile the preselected players for the encounter have started showing up and the firs warm-up session took place Monday morning 7th October at the Noa Ekele stadium. Present in the training session were players like captain Vincent Aboubakar, Mikael Ngandeu, Fai Collins.
