EXTREME NORTH: TWO SOLDIERS DIE AND THREE WOUNDED FROM BOKO HARAM ATTACK

An explosion attributed to the Boko Haram Islamic sect in Karawa in the Extreme North Region of Cameroon has killed soldiers and wounded three others of the Cameroon army. The incident happened when the vehicle of the Mix Multinational Forces stumbled on a land mind that exploded instantaneously. The brave military men were doing their routine check in the Mayo Sava Division near the Cameroon Nigeria borders.


The Mixed Multinational Force that is made up of Cameroon, Nigeria, Niger, Chad and even Benin soldiers to fight against the deadly Boko Haram Islamic sect in the frontiers. It is important to note that the extreme north of Cameroon is prone to constant Boko Haram attacks.


The Islamic sect was created in Nigeria by Mohamed Usuf in 2002 in Maduguri Nigeria. The group which is Sunnite is preaching Islamic jihad and forbids western education and ideology and govern by sharia law and it counts between 6 to 30 000 members.
