Adamawa – Center Region stretch of road in good shape

Public works Minister Emanuel Nganou Djoumessi points out President Paul Biya’s last seven years term of office achievement as Adama – Center Region stretch of road construction work goes to completion.

The 418 km long Batchenga-Ntui-Yoko-Lena-Tibati-Ngatt section of the road constitutes the most important section of the Batschenga – Ntui – Yoko-Tibati-Ngaoundéré road construction project which is approximately 595 km. this explanation was given by the Minister of Public Works himself as the completion of the infrastructure beamed light on the faces of commuters. 

Highlighting President Paul Biya’s achievements during his past seven-year term of office amidst the October 12 presidential campaign fever, the Minister of Public Works Emanuel Nganou Djoumessi underlined that travelers plying the Center and the Adamawa Region will now benefit from a second road connection that will permit them gain two hours with the significant paving of the road and the construction of the Ngatt-Febadi-Likok section.

We learned that the 167.5 km Lena-Tibati-Ngatt road was completed during the 2018-2025 seven-year term. The project called for the construction of 135 km of paved road on National Highway No. 15 between Lena and Tibati. The savings made it possible to extend the completed road length by an additional 32 km, resulting in a total of 167.27 km between Lena, Tibati, and Ngatt, according to the Ministry of Public Works.

Along the constructed roads, several related infrastructures such as schools, school fences, boreholes, secondary road development, multifunction centers and so on were built as part of the project. The urban roads as well as the communal roads were built on this occasion to helped open up residential areas and agricultural production basins to facilitate the transport of food products directly to the consumers. The project was carried out with a budget of 81.4 billion CFA francs.
